Most people think of plums as purple (a dark rosy purple), but they come in many colors. Stanley plums (prune plums) are a dark blue with purple accents, there are yellow plums, red plums and green plums also and some so dark they are considered black. They will be in the farmer's market in large quantities soon and are so delicious, no matter what color you buy. enjoy

It would depend on what kind of plum you are talking about. Dinosaur plums are green, sugar plums are yellow, prune plums are dark purple, almost black. There are many more varieties than i listed with many more colors.

Usually some shade of purple, but some are red and some are yellow too.
