Whiplash question. I was in a car accident, my husband was driving and I was the passenger.?

We were hit from behind by a drunk driver. I had pain in my neck right after, but it was mild, not severe.

My condition got much worse in the days after and still is. I got a lawyer and I am getting therapy for this. When I was at therapy 2 days ago, I was complaining about being so dizzy, and one of the people working there, looked at the back of my neck and just below and underneith my hair he said it

was really red, he said I had a large bruise. When he presses on it I feel pain in my arm but my concern is what is this red mark. He said he had never seen anyone with whiplash have this type of buising. He wants me to see my doctor and I am going to, but I am just wondering if anyone knows what it might be, my x-ray report said there was no fracture, but there is a space and there was mention of a spinal infection. I am having a ct scan done in a few hours, but I won`t know what the results are for awhile. Any info on the red make on my neck or if anyone has had a spinal infection and this sounds like it may be, please give me your opinion, thanks.
