So who is gonna win the tennis US OPEN then ? whats your oppy ?

Men - I'm backing Djokovic to win simply because he has played amazing this year and will really want to win this to continue his domination, however Nadal will also be out there to beat Djokovic.

Women - I actually think Azarenka could win her first slam here too. She's been playing really well and I think it's her time to win a major, but Serena and Clijsters will still be very dangerous and difficult to beat!

Men: The obvious favorite is Novak Djokovic. He is playing out of this world and winning absolutely everything. He is the best player in the world and on hard courts. He is 27-0 on hard courts this year and has lost 6 sets on hard courts so far. Not only that, but is also very, very consistent, he has a great baseline game, can return virtually anything and he dictates the play. You can't really create your own rhythm, because he doesn't allow you. He Djokovic is also a lot stronger than in previous years and has a great serve now, it's really starting to become a big weapon again(it was a big liability in the last 2 years). He has phenomenal footwork and an amazing head on his shoulders, he is very smart in constructing the points and is mentally & physically the toughest player on tour at the moment.

He has improved every aspect of his game and I really have 1 thing to say about his chances: He is winning, not a single doubt in my mind.

As for the women, it's always more complicated, lol, but I think Serena will win! It wouldn't be the first time that she has returned from injury and won a Slam! Also I am amazed how well she is playing in the US Open Series! She has already won Stanford and is now in the finals of Toronto, with a huge possibility of winning! She is playing great tennis at the moment and her serve is so powerful. My only doubts are her low 1st serve % and her stamina. I don't know how well she'll handle playing every single day. She literally hasn't got a day to rest and she doesn't have byes either. If she wins Toronto(which I think she will) I think it would be smart to skip Cincinnati and rest for the US Open, because by winning Cincinnati she would be ranked 31st which surely means she will be seeded at the US Open. Just like Novak she raises the bar for everyone else and makes them play better tennis. I thinks he will peak at the US Open and improve by every match until she wins it. With Kim Clijsters being injured and playing only 4 matches since Miami, i definitely think Serena is the favorite.

Men- I am a Nadal fan, but have nothing against Djokovic at all. I commend him for his outstanding year in all ways, and he is a true champion. That being said, though, I do no think Novak will win the USO. If he does, then i stand wrong, but I think Roger has a great chance, and Nadal will be looking for revenge. It all depends on if Roger is on Novak's or Rafa's side. If Novak, and if he gets there to the semis, Roger will take Novak out. But honestly providing his serve and raised confidence, Rafa has a better chance of beating Nole on HC imo. Novak's level has not increased at all(only fitness). He was always good. But as we can see Rafa's level has really dropped, due to his confidence. If his confidence is all time high, he will dominate. I'm really interested on watching Tsonga vs Djokovic today. If Tsonga can take Novak out....wow. 2 top players in 3 days. If not, then oh well. But Tsonga has a great, great chance too, better than Andy Murray IMO. If he is on Novak's side at the USO, then that will be very interesting. My pick- Rafa or Roger...Darkhorse- Tsonga

WOmen- I really really like Azarenka. If she wins today vs Serena, then she has to be considered a fav providing that she's the only top player in the top 9 still there in Toronto. She's very fast, and has superb movement. Woz is not good enough in slams, and Idk bout Clijsters. But I also like Lisicki, and hope she goes far. And definitely Serena. Serena is already dominating the field already, and if she wins Toronto, she will be seeded at the USO I'm pretty sure. SHe has a great chance to win there too! My pick- Azarenka or Serena...Darkhorse: Lisicki

Mens:

1st pick: Djokovic has a 51-1 record this year enough said

2nd pick: Federer knows how to do well at slams as great record @ US Open

Outside: Nadal or Tsonga

Womens:

1st pick: Azarenka, going with a gamble and thinking Azarenka can win her 1st slam here

2nd pick: Sharapova, is in ok form but knows how to do well at the slams

Outside: Serena or Clijsters the powerhouse veterans will have deep runs but will have to work hard to win

Men- Novak Djokovic for sure! But i think could possibly get knocked out by someone not in the top 3 like Tsonga.

Women- Serena Williams is favourite she's just won a title and she's in another final!

Others i think Masha, Zvonareva, V. Williams and Li Na.

If you watched even one Djokovic match this year, I think there is no doubt that he is the best player right now, and will win it for sure. The only guy that can stop him, is Roger, so he is my second pick.

On women's side, Serena if she stays healthy. She is definitely the best female tennis player. Their ranking is a joke. I mean I love Wozniacki, but she is not the Number 1 player and never was. But she is very cute.

Nadal is the defending champion but is 0-5 this yr against D joker. Djock is playing incredible this yr (50-1). But did you know that the last 2 losses of djock is on Federer. Nadal can take Federer, and Nadal will win The US Open if he wont cross path with D joker.
