2 crown done, 1 falls out after 1.5 years, the other after 6 months?

Is there a problem with this dentist? I have had a kidney transplant and take meds which i have been told make my teeth weak.

I have had two crowns with the same dentist. One came out after 1.5 years, and the other is now loose after 6 months.

The dentist charged me for the one that came out after 1.5 years and now I fear he will try to charge me again for the 6 month one.

Does this sound like there is a problem with the dentist's abilities? Should I insist on a free treatment for the loose 6 month crown?

A crown should last a long time--at least ten years. He shouldn't charge you. And if he does, I think it would be all right to say something, like: I did not expect to get charged for this.

people who i know who had crowns fall out have not been charged to have them put back in, they should last a very long time, yes it is his dental abilities they only fall out because not enough cement has been used. I would tell him that your not happy with how quickly they have fallen out x
