Chevrolet Malibu or Ford Taurus. Not very expensive and easy to find (which means "easy parts availability). Also consider Chevrolet Impala-large but fuel economy isnt bad. I see quite a few teens with older Buicks-Centuries and Lesabres from the early-90s. Honda Accords work well too.

  • Have you thought of something like a Grand Marquis, Marauder, Crown Victoria, or even a Buick?

The reason I mention these sorts of full-size sedans is that they are usually owned by older, more mature drivers. Not to stir stereotypes, but my experience has been that these people tend to treat and maintain their cars very well.

These cars may not suit your style or taste, but you could really hit a bargain.

why no jeep? I got a 5 year used jeep liberty for my first car this year and other than poor speakers, faulty breaks, terrible ac, and poor handling it has been great

get a civic, my mom has one and it handles well, is compact, but has enough room to fit 5 people and a fair amount of trunk space that you wouldnt expect by just looking at it
