Can Tai' Chi and Aikido evolve into one unique form?

I take Tai' Chi with practical application (Cheng-Yang Form). My instructor, who trained in both Aikido and Tai Chi for twenty years show practical Aikido application through the Tai chi forms- has anyone ever created a form that evolved from the two? It would seem a logical next step. Also-is it possible to master Tai Chi wiithout being able to emit fajing?.

I think it is common for people to practice Aikido and Tai-chi-Chuan at the same time. Many of my students do this. But I don't see a need to combine the two. For each individual, each martial art they study adds to their abilities.

But I find that the ability to keep the styles distinct in their minds helps them more than meshing them together. The principles are similar and using each to help understand the other is helpful. But Tai-chi-Chuan, for example, includes grappling, joint locks, take downs, etc.. It's not as if it is deficient and so needs Aikido to make it complete.

As for fajing, this is a basic, important part of Tai-chi-Chuan. Why would anyone specifically not want to develop it?

Aikido isn't a game and would not sell opposition. Tai chi isn't meant to be a game even if some tai chi federations have started to sell competitions which normally comprise varieties carried out the two in my opinion or in a team. it truly is uncertain that they might work together in try against with and between one yet another. Having studied the two for it sluggish, aikido is the greater smart could the aikido practitioner be attacked. There are no longer any aikido masters as one remembers the words of O'Sensei Morihei Ueshiba extolling his followers and scholars to consistently shelter a newbie's recommendations. namaste.

It's possible. I can see many similarities in techniques and forms. The Tai Chi Chuan opening form for example resembles the technique called a Gyaku irimi nage or reverse irimi throw in Aikido. I actually saw a book which compared Tai Chi Chuan and Aikido applications by a Chinese martial artist way back in the 90s. Unfortunately, the book was very expensive and I couldn't afford it, but I was able to browse through it and saw how they showed similarities in techniques between the two arts and were they differ. It even showed ground grappling techniques from Tai Chi Chuan, but unfortunately I can't for the life of me remember the title of the book nor the author, I've been racking my brains for years now in trying to find that book, now that I can afford it.
