Starting the Pill after only 2 months off it? Please Answer?

I went off the pill as I could no longer afford it plus I broke up with my ex this was around 2/3 months ago. Now I'm with a new lad and I want to go back onto the pill again.

I have only had my period twice since I've gone off the pill.

So do I still have to start taking the pill when my next period start and will it take a month to start working again? I'm thinking that because my body hasn't really gotten over the pill yet it shouldn't take as long?

The Pill I'm taking is Yasmin.

Another question, my period finished 5 days ago - if I were to start the pill again tomorrow will it protect me? or should I just wait for my next period. keep in mind I only went off the pill in June.

Yes wait till end of next period to start up again and yes will take 30 days for effects to take hold.

However I strongly suggest you get off Yasmin and find a different type/form of birth control. Currently Yasmin is under a major class action lawsuit due to its numerous side effects and health damaging issues. I advise all my patients who have taken Yasmin to file to be included in the class action lawsuit. Even if you don't have any side effects now you may later and then it might be too late.
