Why did Governor Quinn do this?
He just signed a bill allowing for strip mining in a Southern Illinois national park. I guess in Illinois, one may be corrupt AND do things that won't get one thrown into prison.

There are a lot of things I wonder about with Governor Quinn. I wonder for example if Illinoisans would be stupid enough to elect him again in 2016 if he were eligible to run again then.
So far as I can recall there are no national parks in Southern Illinois. You must mean a national forest. It looks as though the proud tradition of holding the record for governors doing time in prison may continue for Illinois. I guess every state wants to be #1 at something.
