You are luckier than you know.Imagine your day, week, month, year or life without her in your life, seriously think about that for a while.

It is "ok" to want to have some time to yourself after a hectic day. Perhaps you could say to your little sister: "Right now I would appreciate a little time to myself...when I am available, I will spend some time with you....you choose the game we will play/or book that we will read...." Try to not forget that she may look up to you and want to spend time with you--after all that sibling relationship is very important. Make time for yourself and for her. Encourage her to entertain herself and that it is "ok" to wait and be patient. If you need some further help, consider talking to your parents. They may also have some ideas that could keep her busy while you have little time to yourself....
Please know that if you need to talk to someone, consider calling the Boys Town National Hotline at 1-800-448-3000. We have counselors available 24/7 and we talk to kids/teens and parents about a wide variety of issues. Take care and good luck! Counselor KJ

you should really cherish these moments. because when you get older you will be seeing less and less of each other. It seems she looks up to you and you should be proud of.
