My husband too is a narcissist and an alcholic and girl it is almost constant for them. They live, eat, breath for themselves only. They have no compassion and only want what they want and have no concern for anyone else needs. Some of the time they appear to be kind and concerning...watch out, it is only a manipulative game to throw you off course to gain what they want PERIOD. Yes, it is a personality disorder and like the lady who replied to you to have compassion for him BUT I'm telling you, all the compassion for these folks DOES NOT CHANGE THEM. If he will not get counseling or therapy it will worsen and make your life hell. All you can do is try your best to be kind, try to ignore their verbal outbursts and abuse and PRAY FOR THEM. PRAY PRAY PRAY. And when he doesn't answer God's call to come to the Lord, God will direct you in what to do.
