My 2000 Mitsubishi Galant is spitting out this service engine code P0170 Fuel Trim Malfunction (Bank 1)?
it all started when i forgot to stop at a gas station to get gas when i finally realized that my car was on E the closest station was miles away but i was able to get there, but on the way there the car started to lose power like it was out of fuel completely but i could see the station so i was able to just rev it and put it in Neutral so it could roll in. filled it up driving it home it lost power in the middle of the street but when i rev the engine it gets power and moves now it does that constantly and the service engine code P0170 Fuel Trim Malfunction (Bank 1) came on an hour later.
Any suggestions?

Running too low fuel level will ruin in tank fuel pump real quick, and also let it suck all the debris inside the tank, clogging fuel strainer and filter, thus not enough fuel supply (lean codes).Replace fuel filter and maybe the fuel pump will be the solution.
