She is completely over rated and once everyone is starting to get used to her game style. She isn't aggressive enough and when the hard hitting players like Serena, Kim, Maria, Petra, Li and Victoria are playing at their best which they have done this season they always beat her because they have much bigger games! She definitely doesn't deserve the number one ranking! She hasn't had a particularly good season apart from winning Dubai and Indian Wells, she's done nothing since.

Caroline Wozniacki has been the faux no.1 player in the world. Only reason why she is number 1 is because Serena has been out and because Clijsters has had some injury issues.

I never thought she reigned over anything haha. I thought of her as a filler for the no.1 spot.

She's lost a couple of matches (what you could call a mini-slump), and people are already saying she's on the decline. Oh, please. And Ali K, if you can't understand how Wozniacki is #1, then you have a lot to learn about the ranking system. She's won 8 tournaments in the past 52 weeks for crying out loud!

Oh my God! I am stunned! She is already on a 3 match losing streak and has been in very bad form since she won Brussels! She can basically lose to anyone now and everyone knows how to exploit her weaknesses! She is such a beatable player because she lacks the big weapons! Also what I've noticed, she is hitting way more errors than before! She looks so weak and pale on the court!

The media was putting a lot of pressure on her because she hasn't won a Slam yet and in late 2010 and half of 2011 she has managed it pretty well, but now the pressure is greater than ever and she is starting to break mentally! The SAME thing has happened to Safina and Jankovic and since their peak they have been going downhill(although Safina had back problems). I truly believe this is the beginning of the end for her and I know this sounds disturbing, but if she falls to #2 next year, Zvonareva will be #1!!!

Wozy is really stumbling now, she hasn't won a match in the US Open Series so far in two tournaments, First, she loses to Roberta Vinci in straights at the Canadian Open, and now falls to Christina McHale in Cincinnati again in straight sets. These are players a #1 player should be beating.

In the past you could always count on Wozy to make it at least to the quarterfinals of every tournament, now she can't even buy a win. I really think that it's getting to her that she can't win the big matches. She doesn't have weapons in her game, I know we've said that about her all of the time, but it's so true. Her trump card that she is always consistent, very steady and making few errors... but she is far from that.....right now.

Well we shall see what will happen in New Haven next week, where she a three-time defending champion, but her confidence really has to be shot right now, as she hasn't won any hard court matches this summer, and she looks anything like the #1 player in the world. I think most of the players are going out there, knowing that she's a bit fragile right now, and they are taking full advantage of the situation right now.

I'd say Wozy has no chance at this year's US Open, unless she turns it around quickly.

I'm also seeing the Jankovic Safina even Ivanovic (even though she has a Grand slam). She will fade away quite soon with all the points she will be losing. She is still very young, so if she is a real no 1, it will not be the end of her. But I do believe the media played a large role in this decline.

I was looking at her past year results and I cant understand how she is number 1, she hasn't even been that consistent, I hope someone takes the no.1 spot from her soon.
