My iPod won't play sound...help?
My iPod WILL play sound when connected to earphones or plugged into the wall, but when I disconnect it:
--It stops with the volume (and when I try to turn it up, it doesn't playback anything),
--The little volume adjuster disappears (like when you plug it into an iHome), and
--I FREAK OUT!
Have any idea what's wrong? I appreciate the help. =)

the same thing is happenning to me! also, something pops up on my screen that says something like item not suitable for iphone.. something like what it says when you put ur ipod in a dock other than the ihome... sorry i cant help you... i am so sorry but you can try taking it to the apple store!
