Till what week is the PNDT act applicable?

I wanted to know if the PNDT Act applicable till the end of delivery or does it stop being applicable after a certain period of pregnancy, like after 5Th month or 6Th month.

Update:

SO technically i can find out my baby's sex at 7th month, ryte? coz if i wanted to have an abortion, medically i would have done it earlier.. but now abortion is out of question(?)

    logically it applies to whatever point you can legally have an abortion in India (24 weeks in many countries).
