Birthday Cake ideas for 12 yr old girl?

She is having her 12th birthday party soon, and wants a really cool cake..

She is having boys and girls to her party, so doesn't want it to be too girly.

Colors: Dark purple, black, white, blue and a bit of pink.

Layers: 1 or 2, (Not Tiers)

It is going to be in the evening (7 to 10 pm) so something evening-y!

We have HUGE cupcake shapes etc... and her mom can cut almost any kind of shape...

Thanks!

xx

An electric guitar: dark purple icing all over, black for the bars that hold the strings, white for the strings, blue designs and pink writing is what came to mind.

Maybe a colorful zebra (black and white) running, the background can maybe be blue for the water and pink for the horizon? I'm 12 myself, and that seems pretty cool. :o) Or maybe just a bunch of stripes with dots and words...

I think the cake should be frosted in zebra print with happy birthday written in the purple blue or pink and have colored candles.

    Hi!

So I thought that a Big Bow Tie would be a nice idea, it'S evening-y and not too girly. A white bow tie with dots and all different colors on it, sounds good, doesn't it?

Hope this was a little help xox

Make it a them party and is she into sports.if so there are things like at a dollar store if you have one.helium balloons and anything doing with sports.how about a back yard cook out with dogs and

burgers.don't forget the gift opening and then to top it off ice cream and cake.lots of pictures.

Source(s): I do hope it goes well and only make one big one tier cakeor go with cup cakes.in that case you need a smaller cake put away for family, and when her best friend come inthe middle of the week PHILLIP

That sounds so awesome!! There's this webshow that I watch on YouTube.com called "Got Caiter'd" with Caitlin McDermott and she decorates cupcakes and her videos show exactly how to do it! And they're REALLY simple! She has all sorts of themes if you want to check it out. Here's her channel:

Hope this helps and have fun at the party!

get little bitty girl figures, stick the in the cake after making the icing blue like water. Add a few gum balls in the "water" looks like girls at a pool party. (lame but my daughter liked it when she was 11)

I'm actually not doing a cake this year for my bday party. Im gonna do cake pops! Theyre so delicious and creative and you can use any design you'd like. I love cake pops sooo mcuhoo(:

make a tye die cake!, you split up the batter into a few parts (depending on how many colors you have) and you put the colors in each, the you just layer them on you baking pan, and bake :]

I would do polka dots or stripes.
