Looking for a card game?

I'm trying to remember a card game I played 6-7 years ago.

- It's a crime/mystery game where you try to explain how the death occurred.

- On one side of the card there's the crime scene details, and on the back the explanation (the answers).

- It's likely from the US.

- There are no "character cards", every card is a crime scene card. So it's not Clue or similar games.

I've exhausted the list of dedicated card games in Wikipedia, so I'm finally asking here.

I know exactly what you are talking about. This game struck me because there are books which are similar. The books were called Crime and Puzzlement. The name of the board game escapes me too.

My sister had it when she was getting into the then new CSI show. It might be one of the many CSI the board games. If you search on boardgamegeek.com, you might find it there, and you could look around their forums. They have about 600 games in the murder/mystery category. I'm sure you could find it eventually by employing advanced search options.

You might have had your hands on an expansion pack for a board game rather than the full game itself.

At boardgame geek, click on advanced search. Then, choose both of the categories Card Game and Murder Mystery. If it isn't there, you must have an expansion for a more complete game, maybe one that had character cards and pawns to go along with it. If worst comes to worst, get Crime and Puzzlement. It's basically the same thing and you can "play" it with other people if you wish, or challenge yourself.
