Going to Dallas (downtown) in a couple of weeks and was looking for some good brewpub/restaurants?

If you are actually referring to places that brew their own beer:

BJ's and Humperdinks are the only ones I know of..neither are exactly down town.

If this isnt what you meant, just head to the West End - down town near Victory Park. That is the best down-town area to just walk around if you are in from out of town.. Dick's Last Resort is a for-sure great time...the waiters are rude to you...but it is really funny...its the theme. If thats gets old, just head over to hooters... .House of Blues is a good venue and then a bunch of little places in Victory Park.

If you are of the younger variety, just hop in a cab and tell the driver to take you to UPTOWN. TONS of bar-hoping fun. Again, a younger, better looking crowd. Idle Wiese, Ginger Man, and tons more, all in the same strip. If there is an actual brew-house that I don't know about...this is the place it would be.

Uptown is close enough to down-town, that it will be a short short cab ride.

Down town, itself, isnt all that lively unless you want to rock out to live garage bands or go hard-core clubbing. For good beers and good times, keep it in west-end or uptown.

Can't recall any brewpubs but you have to take in Dallas Alley at night. Actually, in that Alley cluster they have a restaurant that serves (or they did a couple years ago) this buffalo meat fajita that is amazing. And the fresh tortilla grill is right out in the middle of the floor.

. . and no visit to Dallas is complete without a steak at the Traildust, imho.
