is final fantasy x for the ps2 compatible with the ps3?

i recently got a ps3 and was just wondering if final fantasy 10 for the ps2 is compatible with the ps3 because i played my cousins game, but she had a ps2. i wanna make sure that it will work before looking into purchasing it. thanx:)

    Only certain PS3s can play PS2 games, none of the current PS3s can play PS2 games.

    The only models that can play PS2 games all have 4 USB ports (20GB, 60GB, Limited Edition 80GB MotorStorm and MGS4 Bundle PS3).

    If the PS3 has 2 USB ports on it, it can NOT play PS2 games. This includes all current PS3 Slim models that are being sold.

    If it supports backward compatibility, then yes.

    If the PS3 is over 40gb, yes it is. If it's not (like mine), then you can't play it.
