94' ESCORT MECHANICAL ISSUE?
Drove my 94 escort to wifes work yesterday. When i went to leave it hesitated starting and when it did it made a loud sound like it was rubbing something. When i put it in gear it would move a few feet and die. Wont idle well at all. Any ideas. It was hesitating going into gear before i would put it in drive and it would jump. Still doesnt explain why it wont idle in park and why it hesitates to start. EGR?

sounds like you have no oil in your tranny, probably also needs a service, why does everybody think the egr is the cause of all problems, it very rarely is, take it to a shop as we have no hope of fixing this virtually
