Native americans are NOT related to Asians. We have been in American over 50,000 years, and share no genetic markers with asians.

The "Bering strait" theory has long since been disproven.

You are asking a scientific question about DNA, which is not a genealogical question. By East Asian I am assuming you mean the eastern portion of Asia. That is not the way DNA or human migration works. You should have gotten a complete explanation of the meaning of the DNA results with the test, if not you should be asking the test provider.

As far as a basic ball park response to the question thousands of years ago people arrived in the area that is not the US, DNA indicates that they were of Asian ancestry. Are Asians and Native American related well yes in a very broad sense. However, there are also Native's that have no Asian DNA so the question is still up in the air, but it would probably be a safe assumption that most Native Americans have trace Asian DNA markers.
