Think about poetry, rhyming, using words which sounds great etc.

Still figuring that one out. Been trying particularly to get that for about 8 years.

Like the silvery feeling kind of stuff that people get, but mine's all tech style language really.

So stuff to get right there.

Not in day to day stuff, because it's quiet and there are all natural calm non-verbal queues ad intonations that most people just naturally get.

    But words, just rubbish.

Specifications I can do. Clear, concise, consistent, unambiguous then. What required, not how.

    Or precise logic. Or analysis.

Those things that just drop out, but have to be communicated precisely. That's not art.

Poetry, sometimes. But words to communicate well - just rubbish for now really.

    "The plane silence warred.

    Noetical and thawed. ..."

    or

"... No singleton realities straining in ties,

The gestured life is cooling under my foot,

The heat is in my eyes and burning the sun."

    or

    "A fire framed to form

    in polythene deterioration

    a polytechnic death

    ...

If order is trash " [left hanging at the end]

"... Shall I live for that celestial day

Now when I take only life, I shall not be the end."

That's a kind of an art form, can do to a degree. Just do those things sometimes, mostly when young and remember now and then. But it would be different for me than someone else might read, well I'd like it to be that way if that arose.

But proper artform speech, some people have it easily (women usually to me) and others don't we just try to a absorb some of that .. in time.

But that Martin Luther King, powerful and probably wouldn't quite fit with the times now, especially her in the UK. But that's art of a powerful kind but not like some art. In at that case more like a precise carving shaped and honed and with clear awareness of the audience and what they would recognise and what would capture their imagination.

A lot depends on what the purpose of the speech is and who the intended audience or receiver is. And there is always that fine line of getting the message across but not in a way that is forcing or has that suggestion way that creeps in without people knowing in a way that might not be helpful.

So think it's a lot about awareness and feel, not just what words mean literally but what they convey and the impressions and associations that they have and whether it's for purpose. Might not even be real words sometimes especially of the audience is self:

"In straying depths born waging harch the foam

in heaves this form, the ever sighing home

moves within the aging house of night

until the flying hiccoughs of the morn

rejoice upon the dawn of light"

.. just some snippets from some of my past attempts there. They've been written for me really. But it would always be the ones(s) hearing or reading something who would be deciding whether it was na artform or not. So a key thing would be recognising what reaches into people's imagination and makes an impression and is experienced as art and awakens something in them or some of them.

    Here's one way.

Make a speech requesting funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.

If they award funding, then the speech qualifies as an artform.

    The art of speech...

The 'art of hearing' must precede the 'art of speaking'.

Only when one truly hears correctly can one truly speak correctly.

The art-form of speech emanates from within the inner heart of man.

That is how and when, speech becomes an art-form.

    Peace be always with you.

When it captures the imagination of man

and he feels compelled to listen or read the words

and profit in some way by them.

I use profit to mean amuse, educate, inspire.

Has to do with the quality of the performance.

Now, if you can define "quality".... but I think that would require a book.

There is a famous book which attempts to do just that
