    Technically yes

    You could definitely do it, the problem would be is that you modded your Xbox. As soon as you log on to Xbox Live, Microsoft will detect that your modded Xbox, and ban your account and your Xbox from Xbox Live. You would no longer be able to get updates nor play online with others.

    No because the dvd drive in an box has special firmware that limits the head travel
