How long can he go with out eating?

My son has a chinese water dragon he is around 15 inches head threw tail we just got him a week or so ago he came with some super worms and we went to replace them and the store we live in didnt have the same ones and when we got the mills worms that the pet store swore were the same they all died he wont eat them dead and where we live pet stores not open today so he hasnt eaten but maybe one of those things since friday. I am worried that is too long for something that small to go with out eating I know nothing about lizards. So I maybe way off base with that. Shouldnt the worms be alive? Is that why he wont eat them? please answer this question I need some answeres my son is really upset worried for his new pet

You should of asked the the pet shop about what food the lizard eats and all the information on how to look after it. I don't know anything but I have found information on the Internet which you need to look at and read carefully, it's a care sheet and It tells you how to look after your Chinese water dragon

i keep all the worms and crickets in a large hermit crab cage and everyday i put mine in there and let him eat... And if u put the worms in the fridge the cant move so they look dead and once they worm up theyll move... I keep mine in the cage because if i put food in his cage all the food hides from him... And in the hermit crab cage there is no where for them to hide... But anyways i put him in there and there has been times where he wouldnt eat anything for a week even with food in his face... And mine is a baby too... He seems to like wax worms, meal worms and crickets but i suggest putting them all in a container like me so when u put him in there he goes into feeding mode and will usuall eat... And urs will be fine :) no worries

they can go a few days. i would suggest live crickets over any worms. DO NOT EVER feed live meal worms, especially to a young lizard. If not properly chewed, they can chew their way out of the lizard from the inside out.
