How to get him to like me. guys and girls needed?

So there's this guy in my class named zane. We have been going to the same school for 3 years but I never talk to him. And I recently started making small conversation. How do I get him to like me? there's some rumors he's a pothead but he's really nice and even if he was, I would care cause I would never even touch that ****.

Guys and girls please anser this.

Additional:

We only have one class together (pe) and like he's a helper for the teacher (we have that at my school) and he's my height not skinny not fat (like me) and he's my age.

He cuses and so do I but is nice

    Just be yourself. But here our a few tips that help. Try getting to know him better. Like you know ask him how his day is and after a while start asking him things that are a little more personal. Like middle name, does he have any sibling, stuff like that. Once you guys get on a friendly base, ask him for his number. It should be easier to talk that way. Ask him if he wants to play 20q. And if you wanna ask question that are kinda sexual just be like "hey not trying to be a perv but i was wondering...."

    First of all cursing has nothing to do with it, and smoking pot doesn't effect his personality.

    How to get him to like you?

    Talk to him more and more when you get the chance (you can also ask your friends to help you out never hurts to have a "wingman")

    I don't like pot either but I don't let it effect my decisions in dating.

    Just let him get to know you better and get to know him better then start flirting of course. If he likes you he'll flirt back and his feelings will grow.

    Just be you. Either he likes you or wants to use you. If you find the rumors to be true, kick him to the curb and say " NEXT". NOT your kind of guy.
