Hair straightening problems....?

Whenever i straighten my hair it gets like stiff and weird it doesnt feel like real hair!! And the ends are frizzy even if i had just gotten it cut the day before i use a heat protecting spray (John Frieda stuff) and it says it should leave my hair silky but thats not happening i also have john frieda hair serum, the straightener i use is called plugged in im pretty sure its a cheap one could that be the problem?

any help would be amazing!!!!!

BQ: has anyone had the Japanese hair soothing treatment if so does it work?

maybe try changing serium, and dont straighting your hair when its damp, make sure it completely dry before you straighten it , or it will always go frizzy, try to put a little bit of hair spray in it, or maybe try not using any serum? its hard to find the right serum, but it could also be your shampoo and conditioner.

I have very curly hair and love to wear it straight. Over the years I have tried many products and straighteners and I have found the critical element to having straight and SHINY hair is the straightening iron. Be sure to get one that has the ceramic surface. They can be more expensive but if you go to a beauty supply store you can usually get them at a better price. Also, I found that the top end straighteners may be better but the middle price range ones do a very good job of it too.

You might have the heat to high, turn it down.

Yeah, I know it'll take a lot long to straighten but I believe this might help.

Sometimes putting the product to try and have your hair just makes it feel stiff. Maybe you are applying to much.

Hope some how this will help.

First of all, blow-drying your hair before you straightenn it leaves better results than letting it air-dry. Also, you may be over-using your heat protecting spry which makes it work more like hairspray than protectant. with straighteners, honestly the more you pay, the better the product:) hope i helpeddd

Your hair straightener may be too hot for your hair type and thats why your hair turns out really damaged. :/ Also if its not a ceramic iron itll damage your hair a LOT.
