What is a good dental plan that doesn't have a long wait period and covers pre-exsisting conditons?

I'm looking for some dental insurance that doesn't make you wait a year until you can have anything major done. I have a couple cavities that are in need of being filled and i'm in dire need of a few root canals. I can not walk around with a mouth full of ugly teeth, someone PLEASE help. Thanks.

    HumanaOne has a decent one.

there is no waiting period for regular visits (cleanings, xrays, etc) but it's a 6 month wait on pre-existing conditions that they cover. (the fillings)

they don't cover oral surgery (root canals) but you can get a discount on the root canal (I paid $800 instead of the $1200 going rate in my area)

they also offer medical & you can get a rider that includes the dental & vision if you don't want to get just the dental or vision.

Source(s): did a lot of research for individual plans since my employer doesn't provide insurance for my job. this one worked best for me.

I needed some dental work and shopped around with some Google help. This is not dental insurance, it is a dental plan, basically you get reduced rates on dental work but it really comes up to the same thing cause you aren't paying inflated dental insurance rates.

I was always amazed when you go the hospital and they send you these crazy, expensive bills. The bills don't even seem real. It's like when the say something is on sale but they pad it 200% and then reduce the price. The "real" price is cheaper than the "sale" price.

My plan is like $15/month. Works for me. I get my regular check ups to avoid serious oral problems. You know what they say "Prevention is better than cure.".
