how do i increase my stamina and lung capacity?
i ve moved to college and i love to play football(soccer).problem is i havent played in a long time and i get tired very easily and have trouble breathing and have very low stamina,i have had breathing problems as a kid and have suffered from bronchitis in my childhood,i used to suffer from breathing difficulties and chest congestions as a kid but when i grew older(like 14-15)these problems stopped occurring.
how do i increase my stamina?i go for a jog 5 times a day for 2 miles at a slow speed because i get tired if i run faster or longer distances

I would definitely go with Interval Training.In particular look up Tabata Training - Its a more intense form of interval training involving 8 intervals of 20 secs on (all out max effort) 10 secs off (recovery) for 4 mins total - very tough when done properly and great for the lungs. Maybe start with regular intervals to ensure your up to the task but then add 1 or 2 tabata protocols per week to the training your already doing. I tend to do a 5 min warm up and down either side of the tababa but it works great.

try running each dayconsistently slowly working your way to longer distances. While you are running, concentrate on your breathing in and out. also drink water throught the day dont just gulp it right before hope this helps sweet your a bengal fan my whole family is from cincinatti

do cardio and strength exercize at a good gym increasing your intensity and volume every week.
Try HIIT on cycling to a good build up routine. it increases your VO2 max fastest.
