Is Wilfred on FX a dog or person?

It's intentionally ambiguous. Wilfred is a dog to other people but looks like a person to Ryan. No one knows what he really is, since he is able to do things that dogs can't do and Ryan didn't do. Like steal a marijuana plant :) so maybe Ryan did those things but doesn't remember them and tells himself Wilfred did them? Or Wilfred isn't a normal dog. No one knows.

Ryan is the only person to see Wilfred as a real human. That is because Ryan tried to committe suicide, which obviously failed. And from then on Ryan has always saw Wilfred as a human. But other people see him as a normal dog.

I agree with the first person who answered, Wilfred is only a human in Ryan's eyes.

Wilfred is a canine. however the main suitable character (Elijiah wood) sees him as a guy in a canine extra wholesome, while every person else in basic terms sees a canine. verify Wikipedia- i've got confidence this is the place I examine this! I yet it appeared exciting so I did some discovering a pair weeks lower back :)
