What is a good engine?
I have a International Harvester Scout II with no engine. I need some advice as to what a good crate engine is or kit I can put together to install. I have seen some stroker engine kits but I have no idea how hard they are to build. I am hoping someone can give me some insight as to what to do here. I have use to a hobby shop where I can have someone help me do just about everything I need to in order to get all of this done.
Hope someone can help me.
Thank you,
Dave

Dave the simplest conversion would be to drop in a small block Chevy, a turbo 350 trans and go driving. (not quit that simple but close) If you chose to you could look for a wrecked 4X4 pickup or SUV and transfer the drive train. you will want to pull and re-use the computer for any newer models. a wiring kit can be purchased that will simplify the wiring for the newer motor.
