A man who doesn't keep his word?
I recently got reacquainted with an old friend. We decided to give it a try at this thing called "relationship". I have a huge problem, he never keeps his word. Even with simple things like, "stay by the phone I'll call you right back". He never does. I can't take it. I feel if you can't keep your word concerning the little things; just imagine what it will be like down the road. I have totally lost respect for him. I just want to say forget it. Am I going overboard?

No your not going overboard at all. Its better for you to realize these things now becaue it will help you see that he's someone you cant depend on later. Now if your asking him 78373 times a day to wait around his phone then yes you might be going overboard but if you're not pushy or damandful of anything and he has a hard time keeping his word then chances are that in the long run it can only get worse. Sometimes its better to see things earlier then later on too deep in the relationship or when its too late to get out. make better choices now so you dont regret them later. If he cant keep his word on staying around the phone then imagine in what other things he will fail as a man when you get more involved. Best of luck

you're not going overboard at all. This guy just doesn't care enough, it's better to end it sooner than later- I've learnt the hard way.
