Robby Gordon refuses to relinquish the number 7 to Danica Patrick, thought's, comments?

Everybody has a right to do business the way they want to. Maybe that number means more to Robby Gordon, and it should, it's on his car. It just shows that he isn't a quitter. He's not done with the #7. Obviously this shows that he has some pride, and he isn't going to be insulted by money or being forced into believing that Danica Patrick is special or important. It's not about money, it's about how Robby Gordon does business. He isn't manipulated easily, in business and obviously that's good for him since he runs his own business. I'm sure he puts all his hard earned money from off-roading into his NASCAR business, and that's very respectable. Maybe Danica might have to race against Robby Gordon in the Cup Series some day. After all Robby is a Cup driver, Danica isn't. She's being guided and flaunted through the sport, and a lot of it is because she's a female. Robby don't play that way, and he isn't about to give up now. He works hard to be a Cup driver. Maybe he's old fashioned, like "if you want something earn it". I'm sure Robby Gordon didn't get by in life on his looks. A business transaction has to be mutual, but Robby's not the one asking. I hope Robby wins another Baja and keeps racing in NASCAR. I've seen some of his off-road videos on You Tube. Very cool. The guy is pretty deeply dedicated to motorsports. He deserves a little more respect than to make any speculations against him for how he conducts his business.

NASCAR owns the numbers, currently Robbie Gordon has the lease on it, he doesn't want to give it up. Enough said.

Biner if I'm not mistaken The Car owners lease numbers from Nascar,

Robby has the lease and paid for it , no matter who thinks Nascar has the right to just take it away

is wrong, If we all remember Dale Jr wanted to take the number 8 with him and take it away from DEI --He didn't get the job done,guess we just gotta hang around and see what happen's. seems to the rules in Nascar are made as they go along.

Good for Robby Danica can shove the 7 up her you know Robby for no amount of $ will part with it unless NASCAR says so and for gos sake folks spell Robby right. (above me)

They'll take the 7 from Robby just to make an example and show all the drivers what they can do if they want to. They'll benefit from Danica having the 7 and give Robbie the shaft seeing as he's the underdog. Brian France is just that sorry.

Robbie is recognizable by his #7, and always has been. Hopefully this shows Danica (or more importantly Danica's public relations team) that she/they can't just walk into Nascar and get whatever they want.

Why should he? It would be somewhat different if she drove for a while (had some sort of NASCAR history) built up but she doesn't. Not even distant relative history. She's new to the sport & he's a veteran. She needs to pay her dues.

Again, why do you think does she deserve the number?

Way to go Robbie ~ if I were him I wouldn't give it up to her either. Maybe Robbie isn't a top contender but he's a self owned team/driver & hangs in there every week. Seems to me that the Nascar powers that be are trying to intimidate him because of Danica...sorry, let them find another number for her. I don't see where she's anything special & deserves special attention...just saying...

He has every right to keep the 7. Then again, he just announced he'll be starting and parking the next three races. Pffft!

He has that right because he has that market with his company based on his #

but he is also throwing a couple million away money he really needs and then ask for 77 and saying his product has improved flavor
