The thing that motivates me to get going is remembering how I feel whenever I do procrastinate. However, instead of doing the work immediately, I give myself time to think about it first for about a day. Then I divide my work up so that I'm doing a little each day. That way the work gets done by the deadline, and I don't feel like I'm overwhelming myself with work. Then when I am done, I can "see good" for my hard work. (Ecclestiastes 2:24)

The payoff you receive for procrastinating is most likely the reason why you find yourself repeating the pattern. Procrastinators put off tasks until the very last possible moment because, at that l a s t moment, there is a burst of energy from adrenaline and neurotransmitters released in response to the extreme stress the brain is under. Procrastinators get a natural high, a natural euphoria, by waiting until there is no more time to wait for completing the task, if he/she wants to succeed. Many procrastinators are known for saying, "I do my best work under pressure." That is actually not the truth, but it justifies the waiting as a worthy cause. The fact that you are feeling so tired and would rather not do the work right away is another factor. If you are tired all of the time, it may be that you unknowingly look forward to the rush at the last minute because you need a lift out of the typical daily fatigue. I've learned the hard way that early and steady preparation actually prevents the daily fatigue to some extent....I get a "second wind," a new burst of energy because I'm tackling something that is hard and I know I will conquer the task. Now THAT brings a REALLY good feeling....and it is MUCH better than the last-minute stressed-out energy lift and subsequent energy crash. (Okay, Saccade, be nice!) Consistency is what your body needs, what your brain needs, and what you as an individual need to find escape from the ever-present mental fatigue.

Just think to yourself.. what are things I'm doing? Are they pointless? I should get my homework done, so then later I won't be doing my homework so late or under pressure.
I think the biggest reason people procrastinate is because they feel like they got no freedom, which I've been there before. Just gotta tell yourself.. ok I will try my best in school because then you will have a better future.

Ask me tomorrow.
HHAHAHA naw im just kidding. Ok so thats the oldest joke in the book, I dont really feel like coming up with a new one right now. Ill get back to you later.
Anyhow the way to stop procrastinating is by literally eliminating those distractions from your life. Now im not saying you have to stop using facebook or twitter, you just have to find a place in your house where there are no computers, no TVs, no iPod apps or iPhone apps. Just a simple...boring room. When i was a kid, i took the closet under the stairs in my basement as my anit-procrastionation room. It didnt really work, instead I would end up drawing on the walls and sleeping. But it could help you. Find something like that. Somewhere where you go everyday to do your homework. Eventually you will have to change up because the sight of that place will make you sick, so try different spots. Try working outside. Have a nice desk somewhere, and just get it done, and THEN you can spend all the time in the world wasting it on twitter and facebook.
If you really must, get away from home. Often times, doing it at school really helps. I used to do it in my most boring classes. I had to repeat algerbra (i wonder why?), and i would do the assigned homework while he was teaching the class. Granted, I ended up getting in trouble, but it worked out for a while. They would usually just send me to the front office, and I would do my homework there. They would always say "homework is for HOME. HOME-work." Id usually tell them "Well they wouldnt let me live at the school, so this is my next best option."
If you have a study hall, that helps too. Get the bulk of your boring homework done during a study hall. Or even stay after school and do it. Im sure your school has a cafeteria or a library. Have your parents pick you at a different time. Finish your homework before dinner and then you can spend the rest of the night screwing off.
Also, on days you feel like it, try sitting at a local coffee shop or your local library (man i sound like im writing a pamphlet for this). Find a starbucs somewhere, have a drink and crank down to it. I usually see TONS of kids after school doing their homework at a coffee shop. Usually its just douchey college kids who want to show off their fancy computers, but hey, its really quite effective. The reason being is because there are NO distractions for you. Just you, a table, a drink, and your schoolwork.
Just remember this. Have the mentality that you just want to get this stupid homework done. Beat the teachers at their own game. If they are going to force you to do hours of homework and ruin your life, prove them wrong. Get your stuff done and then you can screw around.
So granted this is advice a parent would give you, but unplug your computer, hide your phone, and get that stupid work done. Homework is very important. Trust me. If you do what I did and feed my work to the dog (well actually i have a cat... but same thing right?) it will catch up to you. and one day it will be your senior year of high school and you will be thinking of college and you will be telling yourself WHY didnt i do my homework when i was younger! it will catch up to you. But dont let homework take over your life. once you start doing your homework, it becomes a habit. You find ways to cheat.. uhh.. i mean you develop "strategies". And you work faster and faster! Just get it done!
And once you develop that habit, homework will be fun!
HAHA nah jk jk. It will never be fun. But you will be proud of yourself! :)

I'm a procrastinator myself, but try to find something that motivates you.
You want to stop procrastinating, so think of what will happen if you continue to do. Everytime you catch yourself wasting time, think about that.
By fighting the urge to procrastinate, you'll have more time to yourself rather than stress over homework.
Maybe I should take my own advice lol

Turn off your internet connection whilst doing your work, or if you need the internet for work put some headphones in and put music on to keep focused, also take regular breaks but don't let break time run into work time. You have plenty of time to mess around after you are done, but if you mess around whilst your working it will take twice as long and you will get bored and mess around somemore, remember its a vicious cycle. Hope this helped!

Never procrastinate in public! You can get picked up.

Do it as soon as you get it. Its the only way, get rid of you computer while you are doing it (like giving it to your parents)
