ok i want to give someone online a subscription to something, but dont wanna use my cc in case they're an uberhacker and they take all my cash ;\ .. if i get a prepaid visa, will that work in most cases to buy services online? btw ..its something legit, not sleazy lol

Whether it would work "in most cases" is not what you need to know. You need to know if it would work for the one specific Web site you want to order from.
The only way to find out whether they accept prepaid credit cards is to either ask them, or read their FAQ, or try to use it and see if it works.
