Get ahead, crime scene examiner or a general surgeon...?

Im 15 year old girl (turning 16 in June), currently/ going into 10th grade:

I want to have a job that works ur brain...i love the science behind being a csi but i love helping people get better.

Either or i have time to think, but i would like to know if there is any "intern"/ "community service" type of thing that can look good to colleges

Some hospitals might have a "medical explorer" program for high school students or a volunteer position with patient assistance for you to spend time in a hospital and see how you like it. You could also contact a local doctor's office and ask if you could shadow for a few days (or afternoons) to get an idea of how a medical career looks. Some states have an Area Health Education Center (AHEC) that helps coordinate experiences like this. Visit http://www.nationalahec.org/home/index.asp for more info.

Sugeon is probably better if you can do it.

Crime scene examination is often tedious and boring.

Personally, I found the most excitement and made the most money as a crime scene creator!
