How long does it take a short haired chihuahua to grow its hair?

Was the hair shaved to the skin? If not, it will not be "triggered" to grow again. It could be up to 3 months for the full coat to come back; otherwise count on a month or two.

Well I'm a boy but I consider on us boys, short hair will be always better. Long hair doesn't ALWAYS show a sign of dominance. A person see most other guys with lengthy hair that doesn't look like they will can fight. For example there is a boy in my school with very long blonde hair.

I've had mine both ways too... but my husband prefers it short... he never ever complains when I grow it lengthy, but is always all over himself w/the complements when I cut it off

Varies on each dog. Sometimes it grows back with in a month, sometimes it takes a few months.
