With my first I gained 40 lbs, lost about 20lbs by 6 weeks and by 6 months I was still just at the 20 lbs lost, but started to work out and eat properly then and took 2 months to lose remaining 20 lbs.

Second pregnancy I had gained 29 lbs, I am only 3 weeks PP and only lost 15 lbs, and for the past week the scale actually hasn't moved..I am really hoping more comes off by 6 weeks.

  • During the pregnancy, I gained a total of 55 pounds.. Around 6 weeks I had probably lost close to 40-ish pounds.. the rest continued to come off through out the following weeks with diet and exercise.. I am now 15 pounds lighter than before I was pregnant, which is always nice! :) I have another 15 to go before I'm at a very good weight...

With baby #1 I gained 25 and by 3 weeks I lost all of it. With baby #2 I gained 21 and 1 week later I lost all the weight plus 6lbs. With baby #3 I gained 34 and by 6 weeks I lost all of it and as of now (he's 4mths) I've lost another 2lbs without trying. I am exclusively breastfeeding so maybe that's why.

1st child: Gained 26lbs. By 6 weeks I had lost 30lbs. 6 months later I down down another 5lbs. After I finished nursing (17 months later) I gained 5lbs back.

2nd child: Gained 32lbs. By 6 weeks I had lost around 25lbs. At 6 months I had lost around 35lbs. I'm still nursing, but I'm assuming I'll gain a bit back again, and go back to my normal weight. I always get a little too thin when I'm nursing.

By 3 weeks pp I lost 45 lbs (I had gained 70). I'm now 13 weeks pp and I've gained back about 4 lbs. I'm breastfeeding and find I'm more hungry now then when I was pregnant. I've altered my diet and have started being more active now that it's not deathly hot so hopefully it'll help me get back down to normal.

I was 120 lbs pre pregnancy. I gained 30 pounds and lost it all by 3 months post partum. Although, my stomach is still flabby. I was too concerned about losing the weight that I crashed dieted and my milk supply definitely suffered.

Make gradual however permanent behaviour changes. Slowly re-vamp the contents of your fridge to healthier products, steadily increase your fruit and veg portions, phase out biscuits along with treats, and soon you’ll know that healthy eating becomes habit!
