How long ago was he neutered? It can take months for his hormones to change and the aggression to lessen.

Siamese can get along with other cats, but they are more solitary and tend to be picky.

My siamese is a coward who, at best, tolerates other cats. She will sit on my lap when another cat is sitting by me, but this is as friendly as she get.

Your new cat is just not sure of the hierarchy in the house so he's being defensive, better than getting beat up by the established cat. He's come in spitting and letting the other cat know he's not going to be pushed around because he knows he's the new guy and he's the smallest. He's got to be tough. I don't understand the blurb you wrote under the title--but once all the cats settle out who is boss, things will probably settle down a bit although there may always be competition for the supreme boss. Being Siamese doesn't necessarily mean anything. He's male, he's coming into a home with another male cat who has been living there for a while so he knows he's going to be challenged (cats are real territorial). Hopefully, once they figure each other out, they'll live peacefully together but you can't really tell; some cats accept other cats easily once they figure out no one is going to hurt them, other cats don't like the other cat they are thrown in with, some cats are real picky about who they like or will be nice to, etc.

he was probably with the other cat for a long time. he probably is missing his friend, and probably wont get along with another cat, unless it is a kitten. other than that, all cats tend to have an attitude problem with cats they dont know...

Siamese can actually be nasty cats, they are more solitary and can be naturally aggressive.
