Bug bite caused severe swelling?

My mom got bit by a bug and her hand and fingers are swollen, she has pain on her arm now too. Should i take her to the hospital? Is this normal and what are the chances of her having her blood poisoined because i heard that most bug bites that cause sever swelling mean that your blood is poisoined?PLEASE HELP

    Yes, go to hospital, and have her take Benadryl first if you have it. It seems more like either a sting, spider or flea/tick bite, none of them are good. I am thinking it was venomous.
