Best Factory Outlet Shopping in LA/ Anaheim?
I'm travelling to California soon and want to try and do some shopping in LA/ Anaheim. I have no car so only transport is by foot or bus.
Would love to know what the recommendations are for factory outlet shopping and where people would recommend.

Well the closest, and it's right in between Los Angeles and Anaheim is the Citadel Outlets in Commerce, which is the only outlet shopping center in LA County. Well if you have no car, I guess you can take the bus there. Well the Block at Orange in Orange which is by Anaheim has some outlet stores which you can also take the bus there, and so does Ontario Mills in Ontario which is in San Bernardino, which is northeast from Anaheim has a number of outlet stores, but it will be harder to get there by public transportation. If you are able to get a car, or have someone with a car, the best outlet shopping centers is Camarillo Premium Outlets in Ventura which is about an hour west of LA, Carlsbad Premium Outlets in Carlsbad in north San Diego county, which can be an hour south from Anaheim, since you mentioned Anaheim, and the Desert Hills Premium Outlets which is about an hour and a half away east of LA, and west of Palm Springs. Also they are opening an outlet shopping center in San Clemente which is in South Orange County called Plaza San Clemente. For more information about these outlet shopping centers mentioned above, the sources are below in the sources.

Think of it this way. Any team who gets a ton of media attention, or "love" as you made it seem like, ends up getting an equal amount of hate. Sox and Yanks fans take a ton of sh*t on here for being the "worst fans in baseball" or the "most arrogant and classless" fans. The Angels don't get that. Everyone here knows you're the best team. It's widely published. Announcers talk about it during games, they talk about Tex. You get a good amount of media attention without getting a lot of hate. So be happy. Unless you want to deal with Yankee fans trashing you every chance they get. Which trust me, is not very fun. Edit: Plus, the Angels have been winning every year, as you mentioned. The Sox beat them twice in the first round of the playoffs in both 2004 and 2007. We know they're playoff material. It's not suprising that they're the best team in baseball. Like last years Indians, the spotlight has been stolen by someone else. The Red Sox and Indians played equally last year- so equally that they had the same record and the ALCS went to 7 games. However, the Red Sox got all the attention. Boston and NY get all the media attention because (a) they have a huge rivalry, (b) they have high payrolls and are in big market towns, and (c) they combined, have won 5 out of the last 10 world series. Also, the Rays have come out of nowhere. They always finish last, and surprised everyone this year, and have really stolen the spotlight. People here recognize that the Angels are the best, but still care more about the Yankees and the Rays.

Citadel Outlets are the closest factory outlets.
Fashion District, particularly Santee Alley, has good bargains, but it's not an outlet mall.

- South Coast Plaza
South Coast Plaza is Orange County’s answer to Rodeo Drive only much bigger, grander and more profitable.
- The Beverly Center
The Beverly Center is located in West Los Angeles between Beverly Hills and Hollywood. There are over 160 brand name stores including Hugo Boss, Dior, Coach and Diesel.

Try the Fashion District downtown. It's bordered by 7th St. Spring, San Pedro and the Santa Monica Freeway. Dozens of boutiques selling fashionable designer clothing at discount prices. The Cooper Building 860 So. Los Angeles St. (at 9th St) has a high concentration of designer label women's wear at deep discount prices. There are tons of bargains for the guys too!

I agree with Boston Believes answer, being under the radar is great for the Angels. They will fly right into the playoffs and before other team's fans have a chance to bad mouth them they will have won a World Series. The Yankees-Red Sox fans rivalry gets old and worn out. THe Angels making it in is a breath of fresh air. THe Yanks and Red Sox have a lot of problems right now in the clubhouse let alone their problems on the fields. COngrats on the Tex acquisition and kick back and watch your team coast into the postseason!
