Where is the "community" feel to this place?

The community aspect of this site, unfortunately, has been marred as a result of some recent happenings with mass-reporting. Trust me - I know where you're coming from. There are people here who cheat, point-game, give poor information and don't care, send rude emails to others, copy people's answers to pass them off as their own, and other nasty things.

But I, personally, have met some of the NICEST people on this site. Just like in real life, there are LOADS of nasty people. But if you look hard enough, you'll find some GREAT people too. All of my contacts, for example, are GREAT people and wonderful users of the site.

If you keep looking, you'll eventually find those people, too. Just remember that at the end of the day, those who are being rude and nasty to others aren't winning anything, nor are they getting any REAL satisfaction out of being here. Just keep answering well, ignoring the "haters", and you'll find that this site really isn't as bad as you think it is. Oh, and the block feature helps, too.

There's no community feel because if we actually started to try and communicate with each other it would be considered chat and the violations would be flying around like crazy. I suspect that the "community" was something way back when it was smaller and more friendlier types frequented here then the site grew and got hijacked by the trolls. The tag stuck because who wants to admit publicly that it's a cyberbully hotspot?

Hmm..good point. There are a lot of trolls on this. But look to the bright side! There are wonderful people with answers that you can actually relate too.

There are always a small minority of bad people everywhere. It's just easier to remember bad than good because it feels wrong and isn't nice. There are a load of idiots on here though, I definitely agree.
