How do you cook canned corn beef hash?
My boyfriend made it at my house and it didn't come out brown and crispy. How do you cook it? Give me all the details like how long and what kind of pan to use, thanks!

Spread it out evenly in a layer in the skillet. Keep the heat on Medium and leave it alone until it's brown and crispy. Then, take a spatula and turn sections of it over so the other side can brown and get crispy. The secret is to put it in the skillet and leave it alone until it's ready to turn to brown the other side. A griddle works good because you can get the spatula under a large part of it at a time to turn it.
EDIT: Sorry, Jenny, but your answer makes very little sense. The question is about canned corned beef hash.

when making corned beef hash don't cook it in anything but the hash leave it till all your veg is done then cut it up about five min's before you want it i cut mine up into square's drop it in at the last min then it doesn't boil into the harsh and you end up trying to find it in bit's and bat's this is the proper way to do corned beef hash if you start cooking it in a frying pan then you will loose all the flavor hope this helps you

I like mine with potatoes and onions. I saute my finely chopped potatoes until almost done. Then I add the onions and saute them until translucent. Finally I put the corned beef hash in and fry it until it develops a "crust".
