Can't connect to internet via ethernet adapter?
I've just installed a new motherboard (Asus M4A78) with Windows XP. I've installed all drivers for LAN; Network Adapters, Ethernet etc but can't connect to the internet. I use an ethernet adapter to connect to the internet and it's working fine as I have another computer connected to it. Can anyone tell me what I'm missing?? I've uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, switched on and off the modem, ethernet adapter and PC but still nothing. I'm at a complete loss, any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Oh and there is no yellow question mark beside the network adapters in Device Manager! In fact there are no yellow question marks at all in Device Manager! Thanks.
Yep, sure it's the right ethernet driver and the orange light on the port is lighting up when the cable is plugged in, got me stuck though!

there will be no yellow exclamation mark in your new computer because you have loaded and configured the software correctly. i believe that you will have to configure the router from the origianl computer, to allow the new one access. here is a link to a tutorial; good luck, sounds complicated to me lol!
