Frontline didn't last long - how to combat fleas?
I applied Frontline to my two cats on Aug 18. Both have fleas again. I also vacuumed and applied a pesticide that I got from a home exterminator later that day. The fleas are back with a vengance!
Any useful tactics to combat the fleas would be welcomed. I'll be on the phone with the vet in the morning (and the exterminator too!!)

I never had any luck with chemical products, and the reality is, they are poison anyway.
My first and only flea outbreak I fought the natural way- and won.
On the cats: Sentry Natural Flea & Tick Shampoo & Powder

I bathed once per week and powdered every day or two in between.
They also have household spray & powder. I powdered all the carpets, couches, etc., and sprayed anything I couldn't powder. I also bleached every sheet, blanket, and pet bed in the entire house and then sprayed them down. I've never seen another flea since. I use natural products on my dogs too, and they're flea-free also.
Vacuum at least once per day if not more, and make sure you empty the bag or canister outside into the trash can daily. Reapply carpet powder each time you vacuum. When spraying, open up couch recliners, spray up under beds, into corners, on the bottom of curtains, etc. These products actually have a pleasant, earthy, herbal smell to them, unlike the stench of chemical sprays, so frequently applications aren't so unpleasant.
