Why is my android phone using so much power.?
my HTC sensation is using so much power just by sitting in my pocket. i kill of all the apps and have the screen and wifi off.. i had it charged this morning and while at school hadnt used it. when i got home it was 30%
btw i know about looking at whats using so much power.. the list is just the display and the apps are like 2% thats it.
also i use app android booster to kill of tasks. and have the brightness off. and bluetooth. and wifi. only GPS and mobile network on incase i loose it. i make sure my apps are closed and use hardly any widgets

Bluetooth sucks up battery, make sure it's off. It's a serious battery killer, and so does Android in general.

Reboot your phone once a day, download the advanced task killer and use that regularly. You should see your battery life be better. Also, at the beginning of the day, make sure you charge your phone all the way to 100%, don't stop it at 99% or anything less.

Well... I have the HTC EVO and that's kinda how they are but mine is not that bad but not that far off.
