Friend is influenced by my eating disorder! ?

Im 18 years old and Ive suffered with anorexia for around 2 years but it didn't get really serious until march when my body was shutting down and I was in hospital, my friend is abit overweight and they have tried diets and exercising etc to try to lose weight and they say that nothing works, well ive noticed that they are not eating, I confronted them about it because I don't want them to go through what I have and struggle every single day! They admitted to me that they are not eating and I asked them to stop and be healthy, the response I got was "you can't talk" what should I do!! I HATE that my struggles have influenced other people to Starve!!!! My friend even asked me to starve with them for support! I'm in recovery!!!

you all have addictions and issues with eating. I suggest that they get counseling, join OA or read some books about eating disorders. Same for you. But for different reasons. You keep your chin up and keep moving ahead. If they want to starve themselves, you can't stop it. They have a mental disorder that is making them that way. You can only take care of yourself. Don't feel guilty. It's an illness.

I am a compulsive overeater. When I was 19, I tried to starve myself for the summer. But I got sick and started to eat again. And now I can't stop. It's an addiction. I just joined OA, Overeaters Anonymous, and am praying for help. Do you pray to anyone? Do you have a higher power. Use Him, He loves you
