What would you do with your day?

...if you had one twenty-four period without interruptions or obligations, no responsibilities to be met?

If your whole day was your own to do with as you desire; when, what, where, how and why would you spend it this way? Would you plan it out minute by minute or, would you just let it flow - come what may?

Have you ever had one of these days? What did you do differently than any other? Have you ever intentionally 'set aside a day such as this? If so, was it for any particular purpose or reason? What did you accomplish or gain?

I feel we all need one of these days every so often, just for R&R. If I don't make the time to take time out, I get so discombobulated - I can't seem to find my way out of the quagmire - I got myself into! lol!

I truly value this times...

Please be kind and considerate when responding. Thank you! :D

May His Light and Love always be upon you all...

I got checked out not of my own volition in 1990. Every day since then has been basically what you seek. Most people are too conditioned to just stop abruptly like I did. My father was a nervous wreck and had to go back to work after he retired. It is like John Lennon said, "As soon as you're born they make you feel small, by giving you no time instead of it all."

My prayer for these hours is that all authority and control of one soul over another might be dissolved.

Our attention must be diverted away from our body and towards our higher Self. This is our future, an evolution of consciousness whereby our higher principles will bring forward a more ethereal body, indestructible and immortal. The gyves this system places on us simply interferes with such.

Quagmire is a good choice of a word to describe what is being cultivated as a pathway for most humans.

What have I done with my days? Strengthened my will against all animality primarily.

A day? Just one day? That's not nearly enough

All throughout history, aboriginal peoples averaged about 2 hours per day working to provide for their basic needs.

I think we modern folks have become slaves.

    I rest my case.

PS: I have been conducting a 7 week experiment. Investigation reveals that given unlimited time for 7 weeks, the average person spends way too much time on the computer, mostly with yahoo answers ;-)

Wait, ... the voices are telling me to continue the unfinished project of sharpening the knives....

  • I am at the beach for two weeks with Stella, my dog. Today, I proclaimed, "I have no one to answer too and it feels good". "Come what may"...is the way...

I am almost finished with a book my sister in-law gave me a year ago and still reading Osho's book. No TV accept a movie now and then, but I don't watch TV anyway. Feeding my dog wholesome cooked food and taking her for walks.

I came here looking for clarity regardless of how it comes to have a different perspective if I return to the mountains. It feels okay to be in limbo. I have faith that all is okay right this minute and there is nothing to worry about.

    Infinite peace..

    Thanks for an excellent question.

I would take a day trip to Baytown, east of Houston and visit the San Jacinto battlefield and monument and the battleship USS Texas. I want to take the hardhat tour below decks and in the machinery compartments of the ship.

USS Texas, commissioned in 1914, is the oldest surviving American steel battleship. She was one of two in her class, the New York class, the first American dreadnought type battleships. Texas served in both world wars and was donated to the state of Texas after World War II. The only other surviving American battleships are from the classes built from the late 1930's through World War II.

In addition to my many other interests, I am a military history aficionado and would enjoy both the historic battleground, where the Texas War for Independence ended with the defeat of the Mexican Army and the capture of Santa Anna, and the historic warship.

I would, of course, devote part of my day to prayer and meditation and especially to honor those who died defending our country and protecting its citizens.

R&R days r great. If u have the money, I would plan a spa day. Why? Just to relax.

Then dinner out & a movie.

If funds r tight, I would plan a day at the beach. Sun & fun.
