Senior Citizens did you ever play Twister"It ties you up in knots" or with Mouse Trap?

What about Hot Wheels?I read where the creator of the cars died and it got me thinking about the toys and games I played with when little. We mostly played outside but we did have a few board games.

I always wanted to play Twister because of the obvious possibilities it provided for sexual titillation. In fact, it amazed me that it was even legal to market a game like that back in the moralistic era we grew up in. Unfortunately, I didn't know anyone who had a Twister set.

We mostly played outside too. And on rainy days we'd play Monopoly, which I didn't like all that much because it seemed to me there was too much luck involved.

What I was really into were my electric trains, which I had set up on a sheet of plywood in the basement. I had the whole thing landscaped with mountains made of plaster and trees made of toothpicks and torn up sponges painted green, etc. A world of my own. I put a lot of work into it.

You can find a metal box trap at farm and some garden stores (call around), put bait inside and wind-it up, it flips the mouse inside a chamber and they can't escape and it can catch many in one day or night. Amazon website has several kinds if you want to order online. If you have an idea where they might be coming in, you can put some peppermint oil on cotton or a little cloth and place it in those areas, mice hate that smell and won't go near it.

I never played Mouse Trap, but I did play Twister a couple of times. Once at an

adult party one evening. And it was fun but also uncomfortable, being put into

various positions and having to hold them.

I used to buy Hot Wheels for my son, and grandson, as they both enjoyed them.

They are great as colletibles now.

I had Mouse Trap. Played it with my cousins. I don't think I ever played Twister. I liked Chinese jump rope and Clue. I don't remember Hot Wheels. Also played with an Etch-a-Sketch, lol.

Yes, I don't think I'd fare well at twister today. I've never played mouse trap; I do have a small collection of hot wheels.

These came along too late for me to enjoy as a youth.

Like so many others, we had Monopoly, Snakes and ladders, Yo-yos, Ludo, the magnetic robot-quiz (can't recall its name), and the race to get to the cart-horse droppings on the road first, so as to sell a bucketful to the local allotment holders for 6d (2.5p) (0.0319cents)!

Being of a small build (then), I usually lost this fight, but the odd times I did get there first, it was all the more rewarding!
