Should I be reporting these phony "carinsurance" questions?

I've been participating in Y! Answers for a while now, but only lately has it become regular enough that I've cared about helping regulate the site. Pretty plainly there are some types of posts that should always be reported as abuse (ads for Indian call-girl services probably top the list) but there are some others that seem suspicious. Nearly every day it seems "someone" is asking a question (or pretending to ask a question) about how to get car insurance. The questions tend to stick out because they contain what must be deliberate typing errors, such as a lack of spacing. A recent example:

"What are autoinsurancerates based on and why do some companies cost more than others?"

This can't be real, can it? I am just uncertain as to whether I should report it as advertising spam, or what. Does anyone know what's behind this? If it's ad-spam, how does it work to direct people to the company responsible? And, while I'm at it, are there any other examples of shady behavior like this that I should watch out for?

Update:

Follow-up:

Thanks ... I'm hardly "on a mission" to report, and I don't want to waste my day doing this; that's why I haven't bothered doing so yet. I guess my question was just out of curiosity because I can't figure out why this sort of silly posting could help anyone's business. Maybe they intend to log on under another name later on and recommend themselves; but I haven't seen any evidence of that.

it is spam. go ahead and report it, getting rid of those questions helps clean up the clutter.

It looks like a failed spam-feeder. The idea is that they ask a questions, and then use other account(s) to post answers with links to websites.

    Thanks for pointing this out.

Yes, they are ALL spammer "feeder" questions. If left for too long, they will be answered by the spammer promoting a bogus notlong.com website -- which redirects to a malware & virus webserver in eastern Europe.

The YAT and Spam-Buster teams are very aware of it, and we are removing the posts as fast as we can find them. (fyi.. i removed over 200 this morning alone). Also the hosting domains have been notified.

Please spread the word: When you See Spam posts -- ANY type of spammer --please "report abuse". Not thumbs down. Thumbs down does nothing. report abuse get's the post removed, which denies the spammer his income. keep in mind - not all spammers are just looking to make a quick and easy buck. Many are criminal enterprises with ties to terrorism, human traffiking, and the drug under-world. We have a civic duty to stomp them out.

Yahoo! Answers has millions of users, and only thousands of spammers. We can keep yahoo clean and 99% spam free if everyone would report spammers as they see them.

Absolutely, the only people who can keep Yahoo free of spam and malware is the users' People ask why the site is so slow and I am sure the spammers are not helping.

Why are you even wasting time asking? You know it's a violation, and either a bot, or someone who ONLY posts spam questions and answers. Just report it. As for "watching out" for "shady behavior", now it looks like you're on a mission to report. Not something you openly advertise in a question. But you know what? If you use a little common sense, you will know, if you see "shady behavior", if it's a violation.

Yes , they are spam, report 5 when you see them as spam. Click their avatar and add the name and a link to the profile and post it on the Spam thread and they will be gone soon after, they will come back though, they are like cockroaches. http://suggestions.yahoo.com/detail/?prop=answers&...
