Auditioning for Musical?

alright, so im trying out for my highschools musical, and i dont know what it is yet since they'll decide based on the talent pool and the girl to boy ratio. But ther eare 3 auditions you have to pass. singing, dancing, and acting, i have dancing and acting down, but i have to sing a song that would be considered 'musical theatre' no pop, rock, or metal songs. She said Disney and animated movie songs would be fine, but not to sing anything from the Sound of Music or the Little Mermaid, any ideas? Im a female, not an experianced singer so nothing to low or high pitched please, nothing to slow or extremely fast. I was even thinking maybe something from Tangled, since thats about as musical theatre as Disney's gonna get... Any ideas?

Get the soundtracks to Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Annie, Bye Bye Birdie, Annie Get Your Gun.........they're all good. They have character songs that leave room for interpretation and plenty of chorus songs, too. They're all fun to do, each has a few "show-stoppers" in them, and they are all "classic" musical theatre repertoire. Sing along with them and find the shoe that fits you! Good luck, kid!
