How to freeze fresh cabbage?

I have more fresh cabbage than I can use and would like to freeze some for use in soup this winter

    You will need to blanch the cabbage first. The site give exact instructions with picture for freezing cabbage. Apparently the person who wrote the blog or website had the same problem you do. Hope this helps.

    If you don't trust websites given to you by answerers, just google "freezing raw cabbage" and you should get the same website.

    While the water is heating up you will need to either separate the individual leaves of cabbage, cut the head into wedges, or shred it. This will largely depend on what you intend to do with the cabbage after you thaw it.
